Mission: To combat isolation, loneliness, and health concerns among our older adults in Baltimore County by offering not just rides, but genuine companionship and support.

Neighborhood Companions, Inc. is a nonprofit organization based in Baltimore County, Maryland, dedicated to improving the lives of older adults aged 60 and over. We envision a future where all older adults, regardless of their proximity to family, remain deeply connected within their neighborhoods, enjoying a fulfilling and enriched quality of life.

We provide essential volunteer transportation and companionship services, enabling older adults to live independently, feel safe, valued, and loved within their communities. We are able to do this with the help of volunteers.

• Volunteer Transportation: Our dedicated volunteers will provide safe and reliable transportation for seniors to attend medical appointments, social outings, educational activities, and shopping trips. We will bridge the gap caused by transportation barriers, ensuring seniors can access essential services.
• Companion Volunteers: Our compassionate volunteers will offer weekly in-home visits, spending quality time with older adults. These interactions include being a friendly listener, providing encouragement, engaging in shared interests and hobbies, such as dining together, puzzles, walks, card games, or offering respite for family caregivers.
