What We Do

Animal Services is responsible for enforcing the laws that protect animals, sheltering and returning stray pets to their owners and promoting responsible pet ownership. Are you interested in walking dogs, caring for cats, or socializing bunnies? If you said “yes” then we need you as a BCAS volunteer. Whether socializing and exercising our adoptable pets, constructing fun toys for enrichment or spreading the word about our services at off-site events, our volunteers are an integral piece of the Animal Services team. To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please contact our Volunteer Coordinator at bcasvolunteer@baltimorecountymd.gov.
