The Eastside Shelter is a 236-bed shelter, offering essential resources and a safe, supportive environment for families, single women, and single men who are facing homelessness, helping them regain stability and secure permanent housing as quickly as possible. 

We are looking for volunteers to help with a range of tasks! Volunteers are needed to help with planning and coordinating activities, assisting with meal service, organizing donations, providing administrative support and more. After submitting a volunteer application, the Resource & Education Coordinator will reach out to discuss current shelter needs, volunteer interests, and next steps.

Qualifications:

Must be 18 years +Must pass a background checkCommitment to providing a safe, welcoming, and trauma-sensitive environment for all clients, volunteers, and staffWillingness to learn, adapt, and collaborateAbility to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from a wide range of backgroundsAbility to follow instructions and complete tasks independently

Hannah More Family Shelter is a comprehensive 85 bed shelter in Baltimore County serving families experiencing homelessness. Services are 24/7 with family rooms. This shelter provides a short term, safe place to live and to receive supportive services to move from homelessness to housing.

We are looking for volunteers to help with a range of tasks! Volunteers are needed to help with planning and coordinating activities, assisting with meal service, organizing donations, providing administrative support and more.
