Needs From: Baltimore County Volunteers

We always need help with the gardens and out door areas at our houses. We are looking for groups to help with landscaping and outdoor maintenance at anyone of our 46 group homes. Activities would include: weeding, raking, trimming shrubs, seasonal planting. 

We are seeking volunteers to teach people who do not communicate verbally the basics of ASL in order to communicate their needs. The individuals needing instruction are hearing.

This opportunity is located at The Meaningful Day Program, 2520 Pot Spring Rd, Timonium MD 21093 anytime Monday-Friday from 10am-2pm.  

We are always looking to partner with student groups in addition to our on-going need for individual student volunteers. 

Student Volunteers serve as "Special Friends" for the people we support.  Students will be matched with an individual with whom they can visit and engage in recreational activities.  

Students may volunteer at 2520 Pot Spring Rd in Timonium or at one of our 46 group homes in the Baltimore metro area.  Students will be assigned on an individual basis.

Gallagher Services provides scholarships annually to up to two outstanding volunteers who are high school seniors.   

We have on-going needs for volunteers who can assist with an array of clerical duties including filing and data entry.  We also have a need for a back-up receptionist at our front desk.  Clerical volunteers must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and be detail oriented.

On site day programs run from 9am to 3pm Monday through Friday at Gallagher Services Pot Springs Road location.  Volunteers will assist with day-to-day tasks and programming, including helping transport people and assisting with meals.

Visit with the people we serve in one of the 46 group homes in the Baltimore Metro area.  These visits can be social one on one visits or volunteers can choose to assist with activities involving all the residents of the household.

Visits may be virtual or in person.

We are looking for volunteers who would enjoy visiting our day programs or one of the group homes in the area with their pets.  All pets must be screened and have all appropriate paperwork on file before being allowed to visit.
