The Financial Manager serves as a skilled volunteer who supports Evolve Community Foundation, Inc. (ECFINC) by providing financial oversight, guidance, and administrative support to ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources. This role supports the organization’s mission by strengthening financial systems, transparency, and sustainability.

The Financial Manager works in collaboration with ECFINC’s Executive Director, Board of Trustees, and leadership team and does not manage day-to-day program delivery or youth activities.

Support the development and review of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts

Assist with tracking income, expenses, and restricted and unrestricted funds

Support internal financial controls, documentation, and compliance practices

Provide guidance on financial policies, procedures, and best practices

Assist with preparation for audits, grant reporting, and financial reviews

Help leadership interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making

Collaborate with the Board Treasurer or finance committee, as applicable

Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all financial matters

Background or experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally

Commitment to ethical financial stewardship and transparency

Willingness to dedicate agreed-upon volunteer time and expertise

This role does not involve direct or unsupervised contact with youth

Must comply with ECFINC financial policies, confidentiality standards, and code of ethics

Role Overview

Board Members of Evolve Community Foundation, Inc. (ECFINC) serve as volunteer leaders who provide governance, strategic guidance, and fiduciary oversight in support of the organization’s mission to create and preserve long-term, sustainable community wealth, and a better quality of life for students, families, and community stakeholders.

Board service is a non-paid, volunteer leadership role and does not involve day-to-day program operations.

Uphold ECFINC’s mission, vision, and guiding principles

Provide strategic direction and policy-level governance

Exercise fiduciary responsibility, including oversight of finances and organizational assets

Participate in board meetings, committees, and strategic planning activities

Support executive leadership through guidance, accountability, and evaluation

Assist with organizational sustainability, fundraising, and resource development

Serve as ambassadors for ECFINC within the community and professional networks

Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and ethical standards

Commitment to ECFINC’s mission and values

Willingness to contribute time, expertise, and leadership

Ability to collaborate respectfully with fellow board members and leadership

Experience in governance, nonprofit leadership, finance, education, law, community development, or related fields is preferred but not required

The Enrichment Specialist supports Evolve Community Foundation, Inc.’s youth and community programs by assisting with structured enrichment activities aligned with the B.E.A.C.H. Life Track to Success and Purpose Community Operating System™. This role enhances learning experiences across Business, Education, Arts, Community, and Health (B.E.A.C.H.) while helping maintain safe, engaging, and supportive environments for youth participants.

Enrichment Specialists work under the supervision of ECFINC staff and in accordance with Baltimore County youth-serving standards.

Assist with the delivery of structured enrichment activities and group learning experiences

Support academic enrichment, creative arts, wellness, and community-based activities

Help prepare program spaces, materials, and supplies before and after sessions

Encourage positive participation, teamwork, and respectful behavior among youth

Reinforce ECFINC’s guiding principles, including respect, accountability, and non-violence

Support staff with transitions, attendance, and general program flow

Maintain appropriate professional boundaries and follow all youth safety protocols

Communicate concerns or observations to supervising staff promptly

Volunteers must adhere to all ECFINC policies and Baltimore County requirements.
