Who We Are

Mission: To lead the way to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia by accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.

Founded in 1980, the Alzheimer’s Association is a global leader in providing and promoting quality care and support for all affected.  Our vision is a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.

What We Do

The Alzheimer’s Association aims to contribute to a dramatic increase in the accurate and timely diagnosis of people living with Alzheimer’s and the number of people with dementia and caregivers who receive affordable, high-quality care and support. The Alzheimer’s Association provides care and support through direct services and programs and alz.org. Through its 24/7 Helpline, anyone with questions about services or resources can call 800.272.3900 to speak confidentially with highly trained and knowledgeable staff who can help with decision-making support, crisis assistance and education on issues that families face every day, as well as in-depth care consultations.
