Who We Are
Mission: To provide quality, compassionate care, counseling and support to people at every stage of serious illness, so they may live life to the fullest.
Gilchrist is the leading nonprofit provider of serious illness and end-of-life care in the state of Maryland. We provide such services as elder medical care, counseling and hospice care daily to over 900 individuals and their families. We are also the largest children’s hospice in the state.
What We Do
Gilchrist works to ensure that our patients have the best possible quality of life and the opportunity to live every moment to the fullest. Volunteers can serve as Caring Callers, visitors in homes, nursing homes and inpatient facilities, bringing food to our food insecure families, engaging in Legacy Journaling, participating in our Pet Love, Jewish Hospice, We Honor Veterans, Caregiver Support, Grief and Bereavement and end of life Doula programs. We also need Administrative help in our Hunt Valley office and sewers to make Memory Bears and Pillows.
