Who We Are

Mission: To reduce rates of homelessness, housing and/or financial insecurity among women and children in the Baltimore metropolitan area.

Community 247, founded in 2016, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that works in partnership with continuum of care organizations.

What We Do

Community 247 works in partnership with area shelters to provide affordable housing, resources and support to women and children recovering from all forms of abuse or hardship who may be experiencing or at risk of homelessness in the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

Our programs include:

  1. Affordable Housing: We currently have 1 property located in Baltimore County
  2. Donation Drives: Community 247 collects donated (new) items including cookware, toiletries, linens, and supplies to help offset expenses for women transitioning from local shelters into their new homes.
  3. Coordinated Workshops/Programs: Community 247 is working on implementing a series of workshops specifically designed for women and children at local shelters.
