More than 36,000 native trees have been planted throughout the Gunpowder Watershed by enthusiastic volunteers over the past 34 years, and we need YOUR help to plant even more!
A maximum of 40 people, including GVC staff and volunteer leaders, will be allowed to participate in this event. We are allowing minors (ages 8 - 17) to attend our events as long as there is one parent/legal guardian per four children in attendance.
What to Bring: Please wear boots, pants, long sleeve shirt, hat, gloves, and bring rain gear. Each volunteer will need to bring their own labeled water bottle. Water jugs for refill and packaged snack bars will be provided.
Location: Private Residence (2150 Belfast Road, Sparks, MD). Due to the multiple areas that volunteers may be coming from, we recommend using your GPS to determine the best route to this planting site. There will be GVC signs to direct you from the road and someone to tell you where to park.
Note: GVC is committed to providing a safe and comfortable volunteer experience for all. Masks are currently optional. If you are experiencing any COVID or flu symptoms, please do not attend the volunteer event.
