Role Overview
The Research Assistant is a detail-oriented volunteer who supports Evolve Community Foundation, Inc. (ECFINC) by assisting with research, data collection, and analysis related to programs, partnerships, and community impact. This role helps strengthen ECFINC’s ability to evaluate outcomes, improve programs, and support grant writing, reporting, and strategic planning.
The Research Assistant works under the supervision of ECFINC leadership or designated program staff and does not engage in direct or unsupervised youth supervision.
Roles & Responsibilities

Assist with collecting, organizing, and reviewing program and community data

Support literature reviews and research related to education, wellness, youth development, and community engagement

Help analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify trends and insights

Assist with preparing summaries, reports, and visuals for internal use, grants, or presentations

Support evaluation and assessment efforts aligned with program goals and outcomes

Maintain accuracy, organization, and confidentiality of all research materials

Collaborate with staff and leadership on special research or evaluation projects
Qualifications & Expectations

Interest or experience in research, data analysis, evaluation, or related fields

Strong organizational and analytical skills

Ability to work independently while following guidance and timelines

Familiarity with spreadsheets, documents, or basic data tools is helpful

Commitment to ethical research practices and confidentiality

Background checks may be required in accordance with Baltimore County and organizational policy
