Description

The Chaplain administers, supervises, and facilitates programs that promote the spiritual welfare and religious guidance of inmates at the Baltimore County Department of Corrections. All operations are conducted in accordance with the Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000 (RLUIPA), which ensures every incarcerated individual’s right to practice their faith.

  • Ordination or membership in an ecclesiastically recognized religious institute or community.
  • Current ecclesiastical endorsement by a recognized body within the candidate’s faith tradition.
  • Willingness to serve and coordinate programs for inmates of all faiths.
  • Ability to provide proof of religious credentials and oversee the delivery of religious services.

Individual should be a lay or ordained minister with solid computer skills and flexibility in scheduling.
