Who We Are

Mission: To provide court appointed volunteers who advocate for the well-being of Baltimore County’s abused and neglected children.

CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Baltimore County is part of a national organization dedicated to serving youth in foster care. We focus on advocating for the over 650 children and teens in Baltimore County’s foster care system, pairing them with trained volunteers who serve as their voices, mentors, and role models. Our mission is to provide stable, trustworthy, and committed adult support to these young individuals, ensuring they have the resources and guidance needed to thrive.

What We Do

CASA of Baltimore County empowers foster youth by assigning dedicated volunteers to advocate for their needs and well-being. Volunteers are trained, sworn in by the courts, and work one-on-one with children to ensure they receive essential services and support. Research shows that children with CASA advocates perform better in school, are less likely to re-enter the foster care system, and gain the tools to lead successful adult lives.

Our program supports volunteers from all walks of life through a 30-hour training program and ongoing supervision. With a monthly time commitment of 5-10 hours, volunteers make a life-changing impact by providing consistency and hope to foster youth in our community.
