CASA of Baltimore County is in need of volunteers to serve as advocates, mentors, and role models for children in the foster care system. We provide the training and a supervisor to guide you. We ask for a minimum of a one-year commitment and estimate volunteers give approximately 5-10 hours per month. We develop a healthy consistent relationship; ensure that the child is receiving needed services; speak up for the child in court; and work with the team of individuals from the Department of Social Services, therapists, school teachers and guidance counselors, foster parents, birth parents, doctors, attorney and others.
