Role Overview
The Financial Manager serves as a skilled volunteer who supports Evolve Community Foundation, Inc. (ECFINC) by providing financial oversight, guidance, and administrative support to ensure responsible stewardship of organizational resources. This role supports the organization’s mission by strengthening financial systems, transparency, and sustainability.
The Financial Manager works in collaboration with ECFINC’s Executive Director, Board of Trustees, and leadership team and does not manage day-to-day program delivery or youth activities.
Roles & Responsibilities
Support the development and review of budgets, financial reports, and forecasts
Assist with tracking income, expenses, and restricted and unrestricted funds
Support internal financial controls, documentation, and compliance practices
Provide guidance on financial policies, procedures, and best practices
Assist with preparation for audits, grant reporting, and financial reviews
Help leadership interpret financial data to support strategic decision-making
Collaborate with the Board Treasurer or finance committee, as applicable
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards in all financial matters
Qualifications & Expectations
Background or experience in finance, accounting, bookkeeping, or financial management
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate financial information clearly and professionally
Commitment to ethical financial stewardship and transparency
Willingness to dedicate agreed-upon volunteer time and expertise
Governance & Compliance
This role does not involve direct or unsupervised contact with youth
Must comply with ECFINC financial policies, confidentiality standards, and code of ethics
Background check may be required in accordance with Baltimore County and organizational policy
