At Maryland New Directions (MND), our no-cost clothing boutique isn't just about outfits; it's about confidence, dignity, and fresh starts. You'll play a key role in helping job-seekers show up looking and feeling their best.
What You'll Do
- Style clients for success and help them select outfits that feel professional, comfortable, and authentic
- Create a boutique experience by organizing and displaying clothing in a way that's inviting and easy to shop
- Sort and prepare donations to ensure items are clean, appropriate. and ready for client use.
- Support sustainability by identifying items to redonate and keep inventory fresh and relevant
- Welcome donors by receiving clothing contributions and assisting with donation forms.
- Be a confidence booster by offering encouragement, reassurance, and constructive feedback to clients.

- You enjoy fashion, styling, or even just browsing a thrift store
- You're organized and have an eye for detail
- You're a people person, warm, encouraging, and respectful
- You're comfortable giving gentle guidance and helping others make decisions
- You understand or are willing to learn professional dress standards across different industries
When You'll Volunteer
- 2 to 4 hours per month with a flexible schedule
- Weekdays between 8:30 am and 4:30 pm
- Consistent shifts are helpful but not required
